I think you are right. I love those 90s urban based vampire films, like The Addiction (1995) and Nadja (1994). I strongly recommend you watch those if you haven't already - they are among my absolute favorite vampire films.
I'm older. The hopes are gone, but I have certainties now. -

It is always nice to have shared tastes. I recommended you 'They have changed their face' and 'Demon' 1963 also - i think you liked them also.

but if you recommended it I must have gotten ahold of it. Now to find out which of 39,000 horror movie folders I have. Luckily my external hard drives have a "search function," just like a regular hard drive.

Demon 1963
, and not only that I just noticed I also put it on my Foreign horror list. It's number 75. I felt so bad for poor Purif in that movie- I was rooting for her. I consider that movie to be a tragedy, as well as a horror.

They both are very fine horror films. I watched another one somewhat similar to those two. Here it is

I liked it too! There are several scenes that really give me the creeps, watching it like
when Debra Messing's character's ghost walks through one scene, after asking for the Richard Gere character at the police station.
By the way, the book version of Silence of the Lambs gives you a pretty good sense of what life is like, or was like a few decades ago, in that part of the US. Anything by the author Davis Grubb is good, too.

I watched it on video when it first came out. I liked it. The Indrid Cold voice was really cool. Some how that movie is not talked about much. I think there was a movie that came out around the same time that was very similar.
