Blood Rage takes place on Thanksgiving, although the holiday angle is underplayed. Not a very festive movie, but it kicks lots of ass.
Blood Beat (1983), I believe, takes place on Christmas. It's a bizarre one.
There's also Bloody New Year (1987). Rented this ages ago. Weird British movie. The VHS cover was a combination of cheesy and creepy. There was a really goofy skeleton on the cover with confetti and party banners all over the place.

The made for television movie Home For The Holidays(1972), which stars Sally Field might be a good candidate. The made television format has some limitations, but the influence on the slasher genre is undeniable. A true proto-slasher. Actually, given its relative obscurity, I wouldn't mind a remake.

Thanks for the tip. I love many seventies made-for-tv, especially the thriller/horror films. The writer of the film you mentioned also did the screenwriting for Hitchcock's Psycho.
