That doesn't make them dumbβ¦they just haven't advanced yet.
But if they don't know how to do those things by the time they start school, then maybe they are.
It's when an adult starts saying stuff like they have wings and are gonna fly out the window that the kid will probably think the adult is dumbβ¦lol
Are you okay? -

something I always thought didn't make sense is in movies like the Santa Claus where santa really does exist, why is there adults that don't believe in him? Where the hell do they think the presents come from?

I was six and talking to another kid at school over lunch, who I think might've been Jewish or otherwise didn't celebrate Christmas. He said, "Santa doesn't exist. It's the parents."
In my head I thought, "Whaaaat? Wait⦠that actually makes a lot of sense." -

Redd Foxx used to tell this joke about how when he was a kid his family was so poor that his parents couldn't afford to buy them any Christmas presents. So his dad would sneak out back with a shotgun, fire off a blast, then come running in the house and say, "Hey, kids! Santa Claus just committed suicide!" So at least they could understand why they weren't getting any presents.

Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't.
