Every now and then a song from the past will wriggle up from the depths on your mind and demand to be heard again - and again and again. And so this week I found myself digging up various versions of 'Stay with me till dawn', e.g.
I don't listen to pop music much - or at least I didn't think I did but it's surprising how much you remember. I looked to see what else was in the charts at that time and recognised:- I DON'T LIKE MONDAYS - THE BOOMTOWN RATS
- WE DON'T TALK ANYMORE - CLIFF RICHARD (what an odd contrast for 1&2!)
- AFTER THE LOVE HAS GONE - EARTH WIND AND FIRE
- CAN'T STAND LOSING YOU - THE POLICE
- BEAT THE CLOCK - SPARKS
- STAY WITH ME TILL DAWN - JUDIE TZUKE
- IS SHE REALLY GOING OUT WITH HIM? - JOE JACKSON
- BREAKFAST IN AMERICA - SUPERTRAMP
- MY SHARONA - THE KNACK

Incidentally, there doesn't seem to be a record for Judie Tzuke on these boards - buglet somewhere?

Nope - sorry. His wiki page shows one chart position in France and everything else in the USA - I'm guessing he wasn't played in the UK?
