I hope I find a new apartment soon.

Try to find a fault in the place, something that could possibly null the contract like a health and safey issue if you can, or create one yourself.
Back in 2011 i was living in a shared accomodation, not long after moving in i realized it was a farce. After 1 week of living there the landlord told me and another new guy that we would not be getting out deposits back when we leave due to the state of the kitchen ( that was in that state long before we both moved in )
The hallway and stairs were not carpeted, and there was a nail sticking out right next to the top step, at the time i was too much of a pussy to take ' a tumble ' down the stairs and sue them, but if i could go back in time i would.
so if you can find even a small breach of H/S, make a big deal about it and they may release you from the contract if they think it will avoid court. -

The crawlspace is too roomy, which is fine for skittering around and being creepy during the night, but in the daytime she needs a tighter hole to feel secure and protected from the world outside. Same reason she doesn't want to buy a house because it's "too big".
Like the dude above said, it's an asian thing. You wouldn't get it.
Flawless victory. Another one for the good guys. -

— 7 years ago(October 21, 2018 11:13 PM)That's the ****ty part about renting.
Never again will I rent. I've had 4 apartments plus a dorm before. On, it's a pain in the ass to move in your belongs known that in a year or two you have to move it all out again.
Then, it's a hassle with all the" in between" apartment drama. If the last day of your lease is on the 31, and your new lease with a new apartment starts on the 1st, you can't move all of your stuff out in one day.
So you'd need to start your new apartment about the same month your current apartment expires, and essentially pay 2 rents. Plus the deposit for the new one. It's a pain in the ass.
And then you can't customize it to your liking with granite countertops, maple cabinets, hardwood floors, whatever, because it's not yours! You'd just be leaving all that when you move out and upgrade for the next tenant.
Renting is like being at work all the time. It never feels like truly your place.
I am addicted to you; I have tasted your mind, and I cannot forgo its flavor. -
