I don't consider him a classical composer, and I don't know of anyone who does.

I didn't know we had this many classical music fans here in the Wild, Wild, West.
          That's great to discover!

it's spelled Haydn. Also the correct answer is Bach, no ****ing argument.

              No, Mozart doesn't even count.

Oh wow, is my face red! Of course it's spelled Haydn. I must have been over medicated when I did this poll. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It has now been corrected.
And in voting for Bach, you are in the majority. I voted for my boy Ludwig. Meanwhile I'm so gratified that this post has generated so many responses. I had no idea we had so many classical music aficionados here!

Well he did get two votes.
BTW, did you know that his heart is buried in Holy Cross Church in Warsaw, Poland?
I visited the church when I was there back in 2013.

                      That would have been cool.

It was. And recently they exhumed it to do some sort of test. Then they put it back.
                        Very creepy.

                          Others you should add:
Vivaldi (Four Seasons: most notably, "Spring")
Pachelbel (Canon: arguably the most famous classical piece of all time)
                          Debussy
                          Elgar (Pomp and Circumstance)
                          Mendelssohn (A Midnight Summer's Dream)
                          Orf (O Fortuna)

All excellent choices, Boulevard, but I wanted it to be a relatively short list! The key word here, of course, is relatively. I did think of Mendelssohn btw.
                            Very interesting name btw.

Bach , Chopin and Debussy. You can't make this list and leave Claude Debussy off.
He composed THE single most beautiful peice of music ever written.

Sorry, but I couldn't include everyone.
As to the single most beautiful piece of music ever written, I assume you're referring
to "Clair de lune". That is a beautiful piece, but I will go with "Moonlight Sonata" by
                                my boy Ludwig.
