"Naked Eye" by Luscious Jackson, unless I'm mistaken.
I recently downloaded something that sounded very different to the single I remember on the radio, and was a bit disappointed.
"One of These Nights" Eagles. The single fades out differently/sooner if I recall correctly, and I like it better. -

The Freshman by the Band Vervepipe. Lol I know its such an old song and kinda corny now, but I used to love it. I fell in love with the radio version and when I bought the cd there was a completely different version of the song on there. I was disappointed.

I totally hate it when that happens, I also hate it when the single version isn't available on iTunes. -

Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well," which on
Then Play On
is presented as a two-parter, the first part blues-rock with vocals, the second part an instrumental with an acoustic-classical-Spanish feel.

Single versions I also prefer over the album versions are Billy Ocean's "Carribean Queen" and "When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Gets Going" because the album versions have long instrumental sections I've felt went on too long and the single versions also had a better flow to it.

I also like the single version of 3 Dog Night's "Just An Old Fashioned Love Song" better than the album version because towards the end of the album version there was a part I didn't like that was wisely edited out on the single version.
