That's sad.
She was one of the few remaining Marx costars. I thought she was great in this movie.

I am making my way through this movie and Lisette Verea is absolutely stunning she was a "star of the Romanian cabaret", according to imdb, and it absolutely shows in her scene singing at the hotel nightclub. Before I noticed her in that, she was just one of the supporting cast to me. I notice her comic timing in her Groucho scenes, and she did well as a straight man for Harpo in the silent "cigarette holder" scene.
It is hard to believe she never did any more movies, so I wonder what the story was.
She was very good in this movie.

I've forgotten if she made
any
Romanian movies. What I remember was that she was in fact a cabaret singer in Romania.
