Looks like i'm in the minority then. I thought this was an awful Marx Brothers movie. Every scene felt forced and Groucho wasn't being witty, just sarcastic. A lot of the comedy falls really flat apart from a few scenes with Harpo and Chico and the story is just really boring.
Still, gotta love the musical sections with Chico and Harpo though. As always

morphindel-1, I had pretty much the exact same reaction to this film that you did. It's just dull and not funny at all. And I love just about all of the Marx Brothers' other movies.
Then again, it did prompt a hilarious exchange of letters between Groucho and Warner Brothers -

this movie is right up there with my favorite Marx bros. films. The very long and well played out scene of them messing with the nazi guy is great and reminds of A night at the opera when they are moving the beds from room to room.
WHERE!? I DON'T LIKE LIZARDS!- Charlie Kelly. -

I'll have to see this again. My memory is that it was very minor for the Marx Brothers. However, it was the first of theirs I ever saw. It was years later before I had the privilege of seeing their earlier films.
I'm the kind of guy, when I move - watch my smoke. But I'm gonna need some good clothes though. -

The Nazi guy was Sig Rumann, one of their greatest "foils", in a some of their best films. A great actor in a multiple profusion of roles. He was a kind of German Edgar Kennedy (slow burn, humorous angst). I think the clothes packing scenes in this movie
is one of their best routines ! -

Nope just watched the movie..a night in Casablanca..a lot of the sticks are from the othermarx brothers movies and the whole plane thing is not Marx brothers. Best moves were duck soup, Animal crackers, coconuts (also hotel theme) and horsefeathers. This movie looks like they needed money at the end of their career ala chicos debts. But Groucho's dialogue still funny in parts
