Can somebody confirm that Harpo played the Hungarian Rhapsody in this film please? If he didn't, does anybody know which film he did. Thank you

Hello Brian!
HR was most certainly played by Harpo in this film!
Here is the link, check for yourself (along with other Marx Bros. related music):

Actually, in this movie Harpo played Rusty, as is clearly indicated in the films credits. Lisette Verea played what you refer to as the Hungarian Rhapsody, but I think her character is actually German, not Hungarian. How anyone could confuse Harpo with Lisette Verea is beyond me, but there you have it. You shouldnt feel too bad, as Harpo apparently often provoked this kind of mistake. Once Groucho had to send a letter to Warner Brothers to point out to them that the public was not likely to confuse Harpo with Ingrid Bergman. Just why Warner Brothers thought people would confuse Harpo with a Swedish film director 30 years his junior is not clear, although maybe people thought Harpo was Swedish because of his blond hair and because he never spoke on camera.

the swedish director to whom you refer is ingmar bergman. ingrid bergman is the actress who starred in the original Casablanca. i think the letter business is some kind of joke.
