I can't help but believe that, if copyright law were not already so ridiculously unbalanced in favor of big corporations, we might be able to see this movie on DVD. Sadly, the perceived market isn't big enough for the rights holder to bother with, but they won't license it cheaply, either, I'm told. What a shame that so many creative works like this one languish.

And that is exactly why the illegal download and DVD-burn trade flourishes worldwide.
There are so many wonderful pieces of work out there - film, music, books, etc - which are held up by copyright and licensing issues (which I do understand, as I'm in the same position). But at the same time, it's almost criminal to make a fine piece of art, only to have it stashed away in a vault somewhere just because money cannot be agreed upon. Why make art in the first place, if not to share it with the world?
These types of (business) issues should be hashed out long before an artistic endeavor even begins - so that there are no hangups later.
At least this film IS available and obtainable somewhere in the world - and can be played on a Non-Region PAL/NTSC DVD player. The real crime is when a film is just completely packed away forever ("Mr. Frost" comes to mind, along with "The Keep" and others). This whole subject is frustrating.

Check the daily mail, if You can stomach it, its in a bunch of free ones they are giving away.
God will forgive them, He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven. I can't live with that.

Just watched it today after getting it in the Daily Mail a couple of months ago. Great film really enjoyed it. Lousy paper, hate it!!!
The Mail often does a good run of free DVD's. Last year it did a complete set of the Great War which was fantastic, this year was a whole set of hard to get war movies. Worth looking out for, just don't be caught reading the paper afterwards.
