I was just wondering,how much of that town did Will Varner own and stuff? It seemed like he owned everything?

He may not have owned everything, but he probably owned whatever was significant in the town.

Just watching it now and I noticed that as old man Varney careens through town toward his own businesses in the jeep to tell Quick to come and get married he passes a few businesses with other names on them. Clinton's is one of them.
