I have just watched this film for the millionth time and it is still glorious

I initially watched to see my idol Marilyn but to me now it's all about Mr Lemmon.
A fantastic film I will love forever

Of course, but he was up against Ben-Hur.
Hey, I see that you're a Monroe fan, me too. Also, you're a fan of Murder, She Wrote. I love that show.
Have you ever seen Some Like It Hot with an audience? How about any of the other Monroe movies. I love Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Bus Stop and How to Marry a Millionaire. -

I've introduced a fair few people to SLIH
murder she wrote is a fave, I adore Angela Lansbury and as I live in the uk and am 35 I have seized my first and probably only chance to see her on stage- one month and counting!
My favourite MM film is this one but I adore GPB and HTMAM. I've been fascinated by her since I was young. -

I was left with the exact same feeling when I first watched it! Pure, unadulterated joy. If you liked this one, I highly recommend the film that Lemmon and Wilder did afterwards, The Apartment. It's just as good, and works as a nice, more serious companion piece.
What would you do if I died today? I'd die tomorrow. -

I have always loved this movie since I was little (I was born in 1992) and every time I watch it, I feel like it's the first time I've seen it. Jack Lemmon stole every scene, Marilyn was beautiful and funny and Tony Curtis played his role brilliantly too. The whole cast was perfect. Just the perfect comedy! I always feel like I can escape into the movie when I watch it, just like how people can escape in a book. I forget about reality, it's a special feeling definitely. This film will always have a special place in my heart.

I just saw it for the first time and surprisingly I really enjoyed it. I never really got into movies from the 50s, but I watched this with an open mind, and I'm glad I did. Like you said, you can escape into the movie, and their energy is infectious.
