This sci-fi entry from Hammer Films invokes echoes of some of their earlier work, as the studio produced a number of bleak, black & white science fiction thrillers before reviving the Gothic genre with the Technicolor terrors of CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN and (HORROR OF) DRACULA.

no idea where, but it's already come out on DVD. I bought a VHS copy a few years back, from a "grey market" dealer, and the beginning shows a DVD menu being used. I'd been hunting for it for years, and I took the first chance to see this fine product. I also think it was more influenced by Losey's problems with the House Un-American Activities Comittee, (and accusations of him being communist), than by anything Hammer had done before. good luck!

It's just been released from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment on Region 1 DVD as part of the six film box set "Icons of Suspense," so your prayers have finally been answered.
