, and in an attempt to help him, becomes trapped in a gothic mansion filled with eccentric characters.
This strange, imposing edifice, which seems to occupy a space outside of the laws of physics, serves as home to a faded silent screen star Florinda Patten
(Gloria Graham),
an investment banker of questionable morality, Randall Latimer
(Vaughn Taylor),
and his diabolical wife, Ethel
(Nellie Burt)
. The young, beautiful Tess
(Lauana Anders)
also lives there. They've apparently been there since 1928.
This is a very good episode with deep shadows, creepy photography and odd camera angles reminiscent of German expressionist cinema. And the bear is not bad either. It exists in an upstairs bedroom.
Rating: Three Zantis

Burt Mustin was a furiously prolific old guy character actor who can be seen in a ton of stuff. What's especially amazing about Mustin is that he was well into his 60's when he first began acting in movies and TV shows and he continued to act into his early 90's.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
