Four young men have disappeared. A NASA agent finds that they were all born in the same county in Maryland. A fifth man who stayed in the county is being held for murder. The agent suspects that they were all fathered by the same man. The agent goes to find this man, and so does a mysterious stranger.
Not a bad episode, but as with many TOL episodes, it's brought down a peg by the "bear"
(monster),
which is a man in a bad rubber mask. It's the type of look which would have scared me when I was a kid, but now not so much.
One sad note about Lee Kinsolving, who played the lead character Ethan. He was a gifted, poetic actor who never fulfilled his potential. He died of a strange respiratory illness in 1974 at the age of 36. Perhaps a TOL curse?
