sadly, i got to agree with the topic as
i actually just tried to re-watch A Fistful of Dollars now and i could not even finish it which is quite surprising considering i used to think this movie was top notch. this makes THE largest drop off for me that i can think of (and i have seen 1800+ total movies now) as while i have seen some movies drop off as time passes for me it was not to THIS large of a degree. so basically
this movie was a 8.5-9/10 for me. but nowadays, since i only made it 1 hour into it before i turned it off, 3/10 MAX (it's boring). it has some decent parts but a lot of it is pretty damn dull/boring to the point it's hard to keep interested in it anymore. now out of the ten Eastwood Westerns he appeared in this is definitely THE weakest.
i don't know what it is but it lacks something, maybe it's the bad guys or the general feel/tone of the movie is lacking in this vs his 1965/1966/1968 Westerns.
but funny thing is For A Few Dollars More (1965)/Good Bad Ugly (1966)/Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) are in my Top 4 Westerns ever along with Open Range (2003) as all four of those are 10/10's as i call a four way tie for first place.
i have re-watched all of those fairly recently to so i know they hold up
-For A Few Dollars More (1965) - Jan 3rd 2013
-The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) - June 25th 2014 (RIP Eli Wallach. June 24th 2014 as he died at the age of 98)
-Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) - Oct 8th 2104
-Open Range (2003) - Dec 31st 2013 (i first seen this back around the time it was new and consistently delivers a top notch movie every time i watch it(like the others listed here))My IMDb Movie Lists etc =

Now that's optimism. Scheduling watching a film 90 years into the future.
I've just finished a very enjoyable re-watch of this film and I thought to myself, I bet there's a "worst movie ever" thread. I was not disappointed. In fact, can a move on IMDB ever be considered great, unless there is a worst movie ever thread? The answer appears to be 'No'
