I find Captain Scarlet's facial expressions in these paintings hilarious. I used to interpret them as fear, but since he's indestructible, he's more likely working out a plan to get out of the hairy situations.

LOL I was discussing this with a friend who also has fond memories of Captain Scarlet..Like what the hell is he trying to do with the dynamite when he's under the rocks? Throw it a few feet away? Lol.

I always found it funny that the pictures were drowning in water surrounded by sharks, falling off a skyscraper, about to be crushed by a tank, trapped under rocks with dynamite etc. then one was some boxes falling on him like a Health and Safety information film.
After sharks, tanks and dynamite, couldn't they come up with something more threatening than a couple of crates ?

For those who haven't seen the end credits and don't understand the comments, the Captain Scarlet closing from youtube:

I downloaded this clip some time ago and it really cracked me up. Unintentional I am sure but the Captain's expressions are hilarious. -

I remeber having the closing credits on record when I was younger. The illustrations were made by the late Ronald Embleton, who is famous for his historical illustrations - mostly of Ancient Roman subjects.

But then again it'd be even sillier if he looked bored. Besides, even if he's indestructible, it must be pretty unpleasant being eaten by a shark. It'd smell horrible and the insides would be all clingy and warm, yuck.

You're missing the point that in the same way Wolverine of Xmen still felt the pain and discomfort of injuries inflicted he did too. In that respect I would think that the prospect of being ripped up by sharks would qualify his grim face.
Correct me if I'm wrong but as I remember each time he was killed unlike Wolverine he didn't heal he was resurrected. So he did actual die each time which he would have that fear to add to the pain. He didn't have superpowers as such like strength or vision of any kind he was no more powerful than the rest of the Spectrum team. He was just able to enter lethal situations that other members of Spectrum wouldn't be able to, hence the many fatal endings for him.
Always remember that you are a unique person, just like everybody else.
