It's been almost 50 years since this film was made. In my view it's still head and tails above all this others that came after it old and new alike. While much of that can be put down to Charlton Heston and his amazing portrail of Taylor pretty much everything about this film works from the story to the actors, sets, and locations. Today's CGI saturated films may be miles ahead when it comes to the technical side of film making but for all their technology they can't hold a candle to the genuine quality of the 68 film.

It's the script that's the thing, and it's original.

Just rewatched it again last week, and it's still such a great movie. Great casting, great plot, great commentary, great effects.
A fantastic sci-fi classic that I never get tired of.
So many stories, so little time.
