Knowing that all of the main characters being caught at one time or another, were the Germans that adept at locating resistance members? Or were many of the resistance members ratted out by fellow Frenchmen? I realize the Gestapo were thorough but one would think being caught once, you'd be very careful if you escaped again. Any thoughts?
