Now I just go home after drinking all day. I've only had a car for 2 1/2 years (I went several years without one which explains why I was sometimes stuck in places).

People I was with travelled as a group. Unless someone had to go to the hospital or something a departure wasn't in the cards. I did walk a lot, but not if we were in a different town.

I took a taxi back and forth to work frequently. I worked in the next town over, but there was none available to take me home if I worked at night, so I made the hour-long walk.
I always walked to the place I partied - it was in town, but sometimes we'd jump in cars from the place and hang out in someone's out of town apartment.

Sometimes I'd work sixteen grueling hours before walking home.
But sometimes co-workers would give me rides. Most lived in the opposite direction though.
