last night. But it pulled me in, the pace was good, it was interesting and I thought it was an excellent movie. None of the scenes could be considered useless. Knowing not much about the history of it all, I found it informative and thought both women gave excellent performances. I see Redgrave was nominated for an Oscar, but was a little surprised that Glenda Jackson was not also nominated in the supporting role. She was fantastic!
"I hope she didn't take my attempt to destroy her too seriously."

It's British history, and for those of us who have British ancestry, it's our personal history too to a certain extent.
Just the scenery and the castles alone is worth it.
