This IS a great film I Think five easy pieces is probably better But I know what you mean this should definitely be a top 250 film and it having a 6.4 rating is a complete joke and reflection of the imdb rating system! It has been awhile since I've seen this film but it is definitely an 8,9 or 10 in my book.

gotta get on this bandwagon - nicholson shows he can play all sides in this great little story about the american dream. david reminds me of damon's ripley, albeit more nuanced and measured.
