    The shoreline cliff sure looks like the same location where Charlton Heston came across the Statue of Liberty at the end of Planet of the Apes (1968).
    I was just curious if anyone else thought that, too?

      According to reelstreets.com, this scene was filmed at Abalone Cove in Palos Verdes. Although similar, the Planet of the Apes beach was actually the south end of Westward Beach in Malibu.
