Being just a wee lad when it first aired, Three is a Magic Number was the first and only one they had for a while, so it was all that played. Maybe that is why I have a special affinity for it. Plus it is beautifully written and sung
After that, I love the 70 inner city funk of I Got ^ and Verb, thats whats happenin -

"Lolly, Lolly, Lolly (Get Your Adverbs Here)", "Unpack Your Adjectives" and "Interjections" are my all-time faves. After getting the DVD and seeing the newest additions, they've been joined by "The Tale of Mr. Morton". It's so catchy, and I find myself singing it at work all the time, lol.
I used to love "Conjunction Junction" and "I'm Just a Bill", too, but they've been played out for me. I also have a soft spot for "Figure Eight", but I think that's more to do with the soft, sweet way she sings it than for the actual song itself.

- 3 is a Magic Number. Outstanding soft rock song, stands up well today
- No More Kings. I must admit I was smitten by Lyn Ahrens' voice back in the '70's. Besides, the over-the-top, melodramatic King George STILL cracks me up.
- Figure Eight. Hauntingly beautiful; I'd love to see a cover with Enya on vocals and Yo Yo Ma performing the minor chords on cello.

Have to agree with you on Figure Eight; it is positively haunting. Most beautiful of all, though, is the coda:
Place it on its side and it's the figure meaning INFINITY!
Thirty-five years later, that still floors me.

Gosh, where do I start? I love so many, but those from the 70s, when I was little. I didn't watch any from the 80s.
Lol, I can only narrow it down to 20:
*Electricity, Electricity
*Interplanet Janet
*The Great American Melting Pot ("Lovely Lady Liberty, with her book of recipes" - love it!)
*No More Kings ("Oh they were missing Mother England" - very pretty piece of the song)
*My Hero Zero
*Preamble (In 8th grade, we learned the Constitution. On our Preamble quiz, I nailed it because I remembered this song, still do.)
*Conjunction Function (To this day, my sister remembers this one!)
*Elbow Room
*Verb: That's What's Happening
*Fireworks
*I'm Just a Bill'
*Mother Necessity
*Three is a Magic Number
*I Got Six
*Ready or Not, Here I Come
*The Shot Heard Round the World
*Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla
*A Noun is a Person, Place or Thing
*Interjections!
*Busy Prepositions -
