How come Gerard Hoffnung is credited as a writer on this show when he died several years before and isn't even mentioned once in the book of the show by Richard Webber?
Apparently he was also credited in the Radio Times, but is not on the BBC Comedy website. Very puzzling! All answers would be appreciated. -

I think it may be because the sequence of lowering the wendy house out of the window is based on a "Gerad Hoffnung" monologue. This is a link to the original
