Funny how people hate the original then IMMEDIATELY see a Re-Make and absolutely love it.
If I didn't like an original version why would I go out to to get the NEW version.
Crap doesn't taste better if it comes out of someone else's butt does it? -

I wanted to like this film, but it was just so damned boring. I like to give films a try and at least see them through til the end, but I couldn't get 40 minutes into the film before I turned it off. This is indeed Romero's worst film ever!

One of his worst?
It's one of the best cult films of the 70s, and has a fantastic premise to boot. The remake was a pile of schlock with zero redeeming qualities.
Some people need to think before they speak.
I said I never had much use for one.never said I didn't know how to use it. -

I'm a Romero fan, and I just saw this movie for the first time. I will admit that this is one crappy movie. It has some good ideas but the horrible acting, laughable production value, etc. make it tough to take seriously.
I saw the remake first and I thought it was a good movie. -

Surely you jest. How could anyone with any shred of intellect call that pile of beep remake a "good movie"?

I think both the original and remake are pretty good movies. I haven't seen the remake since it was in theaters (I plan to change that soon) but from what I remember it focuses more on the townspeople and how the disease effects the locals, whereas the original focuses more on the army and how they try to contain it. So both are interesting in their own way.
