You hit the last two right on the nose. The trouble for Keats was that Jackie Brown was so memorable a character, everybody wanted him to play ONLY Jackie Brown.

Richard Jordan was one of my favorite actors because he could nail so many different characters and refused to be categorized and stuck in one type. If he didn't like the film roles he was getting, he just went off and did theatre. As he got older, they stuck him with the villain tag a lot, but at least his villains varied, from sick maniacs to cartoon nasties to slimy sleezeballs. But then his last role was a Civil War hero to break your heart. The man had range.
