I can't stand Melissa Sue Anderson! What a bitch she was on the show, on and off camera! She can't act anything other than pissed 24/7. She should have been playing Nellie Oleson, instead, wouldn't have been a stretch at all.
I wonder if Alison Arngrim could have made a good Mary Ingalls? I read that she was a sweetheart and Sue was the real prissy diva who pulled an Ellen on the set and wouldn't talk to anyone. She slept her way to the top and married a producer but her sleeping with producers didn't get her to the top: it only resulted in that she became a nobody
living in Canada! Serves her right! -

Good point, I never thought of that! But why?? Gilbert was the star of the show. She would know that going in. Did M-Sue read for Laura?
I read that Allison (Nellie) read for Laura and was turned down, then later nailed Nellie. And still they were friends!
I mean even massive egomaniac Landon let Gilbert shine. The series revolves around Laura Ingalls. So there would be no reason to be jealous, unless Gilbert had pulled a Farrah (she didn't) or Gilbert was upstaging Sue's scenes or Sue had auditioned for Laura. -

I'm not sure if she did but I think I remember her saying how much they favored Gilbert
She understood it, probably, but it could have still bothered her at times, feeling ignored

Yeah, that's true cos they were kids after all. Good insight. Still, do you think she let that affect her acting? Or she just couldn't act other than mad? I doubt it was in the script: "screech your lines at Laura like you ****ing wanna gouge her eyes out".
I cringe when they hug! Anyway, I can't stand either. Apparently, Gilbert is/was a horndog who slept with anything that moved (including Bruce Boxleitner what did HE ever see in her??) and Shannen Doherty slept with Gilbert's boyfriend..?? I read it a while back at her trivia page. -

I didn't watch that show very much but I think Anderson is very pretty
Gilbert grew up to look attractive but was a homely kid

Sue was gorgeous in The Equalizer, did you see her in that? Those eyes!
Gilbert I thought was "rabbit-cute" as a kid, but a homely (Crepe-Erase user type) as a woman. Imagine if Boxleitner saw Sue before she got married, while he was married (not looking the dates but…) then Gilbert would have hated Sue! -

That chin implant of his, though! I could never look him in the eyes, I found him very creepy. TBT, I don't really like blue eyes. Like Travolta. Gorgeous as "Mary Ingalls" is, she's the ultimate ice queen with those eyes!
Very pretty objectively, but as people they're hideous. (What comes out of those eyes is hideous!) -

LOL! Well, I feel confident sharing that because most people consider them gorgeous. They are, I can see that. But I don't "date" eyes: the person behind blue eyes (and I have dated them) invariably are terrible people. When they lie, you can't tell. And this is my experience. But since one tends to attract the same as they did in the past, I shun blue eyes like the plague.
Now, imagine I'd said that of the most common eye color ever: I'd have been called all kinds of names, like "racist" and so on! It has to do with the vibe they project. Ever since I was a kid, I found blue eyes creepy. Then I found some I thought were "clean" and "innocent" (meaning free from lies) and OMG! -

My current bf has really pretty green eyes and he wouldn't cheat because he wouldn't want the karma

Pretty much confirms what I said! Green eyes aren't blue.
Now, don't nobody come at me with misunderstanding and "offended": all I'm saying is THAT is the kind of blue eyes that I attract. So no thanks. Anyone else's experience can and will be different, I know, I'm just not living in someone else's field of attraction. So the only thing I can do is steer clear. NO blue eyes, please! -
