    Since we'd been used to De Niro as being Vito the entire film, I'm glad Brando didn't make the epilogue cameo as Coppola wanted because seeing Brando again would be a reminder that, basically, De Niro doesn't look like a young Brando in this film, which doesn't matter because his acting is so great and he created his own Vito, but…
    It was so much better having James Caan back… After the tragedy of the entire epic, having someone as animated and upbeat was very needed…
    It was perfect how they all left Michael in the room to meet the unseen Vito…
    It's a trip how in those days the unintended "mistakes" would only make movies better…
