What you all seem to be forgetting is that in the original show, the white female archaeologist FINDS the buried jewelry

I think the common point most of us are making is that whoever is chosen to play Isis should be someone of ethnic background(be it african american, egyptian, middle eastern, native american, hispanic etc.) whose appearance matches the description of the character who is supposed to be of egyptian descent. As an african american female sure I would love to see the part go to an african american actress (maybe zoe saldana-Pirates of Carribean 2,Drumline,Guess Who or thandie newton-MI 2,Crash) "if it was someone who could pull it off". This doesnt mean that a Kristin Kreuk-Smallville,Vasundhara Das-Monsoon Wedding,Kelly Hu- X2/Scorpion King wouldnt be able to work the part.
Lets face Catwoman was a fluke a black girl playing SUPERGIRL,SUE STORM,BATGIRL=not very likely but I have always thought Isis as played by a black woman=possible. The bottom line is to see someone who looks like me up on the screen from time to time feels good but someone who looks like me as a superhero is great. -

Then you'd better go find some Greek or Lebanese girls, because that's what the Egyptians looked like.
Sure seems like a lot of people here have already drank the Kool Aid and bought into all the fictional afrocentric revisionist history that's been so popular since the mid-80's; the Egyptians were black, blacks built America, blacks invented all music, the Civil War was fought over slavery, whites rounded up black villagers as slaves in Africa All false, yet all are "common knowledge" amongst the contemporary ignorati.
There is plenty of racism left in the world, and most of it is coming from "people of color", like the OP who thinks that they're entitled to be as racist as they want as long as it's pro-black. -

I never had the honor of viewing this show. However, 75 is the year I was born. I never knew who played the role of Isis. I just heard that she was black. So tonight, I googled her. She looks like a white woman with a tan. Some pictures she looks Indian. And others, she looks like she has on tanning makeup. I think Catherine Zeta Jones would be nice. They have the same features.

LOL The Ancient Egyptians did not look Greek or Lebanese. Give me a break. I see its acceptable for any person of color to be an Egyptian EXCEPT BLACK.
Blacks didn't build America? Really? Then what the f-ck was the point of obtaining slaves? So all the work to go and buy slavesmust have been for nothing if they didn't build sh-t! -

What African-American Actress should play Isis in the new movie?

It would be nice if they take the Egyptian goddess who was black and give the lead to a black actress. I'm sure they won't but if they did..who would you like to see?
Unfortunately, it will never happen. I saw this television series as a child and collected the comics. I never would have guessed that the original Isis was in fact, a woman of color. What a crime that such an influential artistic medium is used so irresponsibly!
If you love and support Michael Jackson 100%, copy & paste this into your signature. We love MJ! -

Man American blacks are annoying these days
Everything has to be black-ised. every movie.
They are like Greeks, always on the hustle trying to sell their bs.
Have a Greek or Italian woman play Isis, Egypt was a Greek and then a Roman colony.
And Europeans are more important than any blacks.
Eat the Neocons.
