Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — The Secrets of Isis

I just finished watching the lovely Joanna Pang's interview on the ISIS DVD set and found it to be both very interesting and enlightening.
Sure, we know JoAnna Cameron as Andrea Thomas/Isis was pretty (and had great legs!), but I always thought Cindy Lee was adorable and her character also seemed much more 'down-to-earth', if you will. (Not to mention she was by far the superior actor in this series.) Well, after watching her interview on this DVD it is easy to tell why this came so natural to her. She really comes across as a very grounded, caring person which is a like a breath of fresh air among some of the young, grandstanding, self-important actors/actresses of today.
Her anecdotes on preparation and behind-the-scenes happenings for ISIS are fun and informative without being long-winded. And here's a rarity, with the help of some old diaries and appointment books she actually did some research to help give her stories better focus. And I am willing to bet that many of the 'behind-the-scenes' photos featured in the Special Features Photo Gallery were supplied by Pang as well. For example, in her interview she mentions how she "looked up to" director Hollingsworth Morse. Well, when you see the picture of the two of them posing together on the set, you'll know exactly what she means.
Overall the ISIS DVD set is a nice package. And many of the special features are worth checking out also.

yeah, I always had a bit of a crush on her back in the day. Very sad to hear that JoAnna Cameron wasn't able to add commentary to the dvd collection.

I have yet to watch the whole interview. I must say that Joanna Pang (full name now JOANNA PANG ATKINS) has very lovely long straight hair at least to her waist and she has to be in her mid to upper 50's now!
I would not say she was the best actress on the set. That honor belongs to Joanna Cameron. There is just no excuse for her (Miss Cameron) not being in on the DVD.
        Sincerely.
