The fact that Colin Jost mentioned about 90s nostalgia getting reboots, and mentioned that and Full House is baffling. It started in 2000 and even if it did start in 98 or 99 with same amount of seasons, it's hard to say that's from the 90s when it was just last one-two years.

I think he was just giving an example and figured the hell with it being accurate. I never watched GG anyway. And I didn't watch Friends either and never saw anyone with a Rachel haircut.

I think he just gave out the most recent examples of TV shows being revived. The new revival of Gilmore Girls is popular and talked about on social media. He prolly didn't know when it started and thought it was a 90s show. I guess they don't fact-check their jokes at SNL.

Still, Full House is both an 80s and 90s show, it's pretty much the era that defined late 80s/early 90s, not to mention the last 5 years was 90s as opposed to the first 3 years in the 80s, so that gets a pass. Why he said Gilmore Girls as an example of a 90s show revived is beyond me.

Colin could have said what do you think of tv shows being revived, such as Gilmore Girls?. Instead of saying 1990's tv shows being revived.
The joke had to be about the 90's because he was bringing on Vanessa Bayer as Rachel, followed by Jennifer Aniston.

The Year 2000 was still not the 90s, it was the first year of the aughts.

There was no "Year Zero." Two thousand years since year one was 2001.
                    2000 just looked cool.

If you want to be technical, but1) I just said even if the first or 2nd year was in the 90s with the same amount of seasons, it's hard to consider that a 90s show so that's moot, 2) most people don't do it that way. No one ever be technical with those things. I just find it silly but that's just me.
