Bruce is the main antagonist (villain) followed by the mayor. Brody is the main protagonist (hero) followed by Hooper. But what is Quint, an anti-hero or a full on antagonist?? He smashed the radio and died a villain’s death. True, Bruce did eat other people before he ate Quint, but they were neither heroes nor villains, just victims.

I read the book twice and I forgot about that. I do recall that they went out in the day and came back at night instead of staying out at night until they were finished. The thing I remember most was a subplot in which some Mafia dude kills a cat of one of the Brody’s.

As someone who likes gangster stories, I enjoyed the mafia subplot in the book. I completely understand why they removed it from the movie though. It is probably a better film without it.

An asshole for murdering innocent animals that should be left alone instead.
His death is the best thing of the movie.
The second ones are those assholes who deserved it that he talks about in that stupid speech which is so ****ing overrated.
Fuck the military and all the soldiers.
The only good American soldier is a dead one.
And **** anyone who disagrees.
