If JAWS isn't horror than neither is HALLOWEEN.

I think its kind of like an action adventure suspense thriller and drama all mixed together.. But the thing is this movie is responsible for TONS of people being afraid to go in the ocean and afraid of sharks.. So in a way this is a movie that is a REAL horror movie that actually scared tons of people. I mean many horror movies people watch for excitement and stuff and don't really get scared of something in real life from the movie (maybe I'm wrong though) but this one actually created a real fear.

There is nothing to be ashamed of by being labeled "horror." It definitely has that element and lots of others. I even consider it one of the great comedies, the interaction on the Orca is hilarious at times.
That's right! You're about to be killed by a zamboni! -

Definitely horror. It's about a shark that eats people and terrorizes a small island community, so it certainly fits snugly into the horror genre.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything. -

About 40% thriller, 20 % adventure, 30% suspense, 10% horror
The horror aspect comes from the disturbingly gory deaths, and the shark acting like an unstoppable monster or unnatural force.
