Didn’t what? Who? Clarifying the subject is important in a sentence.

I agree with you here actually, but he lost against authority and I think that was for the best since he wasn’t exactly an innocent person. I’m not really sure how realistic it is for a person to be able to fake insanity and avoid a prison sentence considering what he did either. He’s definitely way worse than Ratched, I thought him losing in the end was supposed to prove that

Not at all. McMurphy was Chaotic Neutral while Ratched was Lawful Evil.

McMurphy is a petty hood, but he didn’t really do anything evil. Ratched is a symbol of the establishment used to keep people oppressed and feed off her power over them. A big theme of the book.

She is just a woman doing her job that she worked hard to get to her type of career. A lot of nurses have that type of demeanor because of a lot the stuff they have to deal with. Being too sensitive to all their patients actually does more harm than good. It’s just one of those careers where you have to separate your emotions with work. In some ways I see it as her being hated upon just for being a successful and independent woman who’s earned her status.
Some ppl just have authority over others depending on their careers and status. A mental patient shouldn’t have power over a nurse or doctor or how would they receive help? -

Some asshole comes along and is disruptive and somehow he is the hero?
That's what the movie wants you to think and as you can see, many buy into it. McMurphy is- A convicted felon. He's been arrested and convicted for assault 5 times. He's guilty of statutory rape. He ****ed a 15 year old girl. He continues to be violent in the institution.
2.He hijacks a bus and takes a bunch of mental patients on a boat, risking all their lives. He then proceeds to "break-in" the hookers and booze, getting a bunch of mental patients drunk.
And people worship him. Toasted Cheese is so nuts about him he calls you a pedophile if you criticize "Mac".

Are you aware of the author who wrote the book this is based on, Ken Kesey, and his background?
Not justifying it at all.
Just saying the source was an anti authority hippie who led a bunch of them on an old restored school bus that drove around doing all sorts of stuff.

I am with you on this or you don't have to convince me of anything.
I think I found the movie kinda boring and really don't have any interest in seeing it again.
I read the book, The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe which is about Kesey and his Band of Merry Pranksters for a book report for school.

God you’re such a bootlicker:
1: McMurphy’s “assault charges” are trumped up accusations for him getting scrappy with other hot-blooded males. You’ve never been in a school-yard fight? And the girl lied about her age, how is that his fault? You obviously hate men.
2: He didn’t “risk lives,” he took them on a harmless field trip that actually was more therapeutic for the patients than anything the nurses and doctors were doing. Sorry you hate freedom so much.
I guess the point of the movie flew over your head

Aww, did you just buy your first punk rock album? Botlicker? Ok, dork. Anyone over 13 who still says that can't be taken seriously. It's not a real world opinion grown ups hold.
McMurphy wasn't arrested for fights at school, this is a disingenuous comparison, which isn't shocking. He was arrested for assault. 5 times. Rape too, don't forget about the rape.Remember the whole sleeping with a teenager thing?
"hE WaS JuSt ShoWinG tHeM a gOOd TimE!"
Taking a bunch of mental patients on a boat without mental health professionals or a captain is exactly that. He put their lives in danger because he wanted to get drunk. -

Aw someone got a little triggered there, possibly because you know it’s true? All because you got called out for being what you are. A blind, obsequious sheep. Someone who doesn’t understand this movie shouldn’t be telling anyone about what “grown ups” do.
Murphy said they were bar fights. They obviously weren’t aggravated assault. Lots of men get into street fights and scraps. Are you this sheltered? And it was statutory which means she lied about her age. That’s different from forcible rape. Do you not comprehend the distinction?
And putting lives in danger…. You mean like how the nurse/medical professional purposefully drove a man to suicide all because he got laid? Same place that was performing lobotomies and turning patients into vegetables. There’s a reason these hospitals were shuttered in the 80s. McMurphy did them all a favour by breaking them out of that hell hole. That fishing trip was more therapeutic than what decades of Ratched’s “treatment” could accomplish. Maybe if Ratched had gone with them then she could learn how to be a proper nurse, but she wasn’t, she was always actively working against the best interests of the patients. They also could leave by their own volition at any time, they were all voluntary patients, so technically McMurphy didn’t break any rules by taking them outside.
Stop living in the past. Get wrekt kid, hahahah

So you're stupid AND a rapist? No wonder you hide behind a sock.
You’re now assuming anyone who disagrees with you is a rapist? Nice ad-hominem.
