What is that on Jessica (Jenny Agutter's) lower back?

In the ice cave before they come across the robot,
Jessica and Logan take off their clothes and put on animal skins to warm up.
We see Jessica undressed for a moment and there appears to something black were her lower back meets her bum.
It looks sort of box like.
Is it tattoo or perhaps a microphone or some sort? -

I believe it could be a modesty "belt", where to cover your front privates you wear something that goes from the front of you and under and is held up by your butt cheeks. You can't see any "bush" on her, and given it is the 70's she probably would of had some, so I am guessing that area is hidden by that device. I could be wrong but I can't think of any other reason.
