I want to watch Network. Have for weeks. My wife, "No! Crazy man! People making money on him!" Huh? I don't see that at all. I see Great Film! Alive! Breathing! I don't think they built a set for it. Heard Sidney Lumet (Director) comment, "All natural lighting." Very special, unusual film. One I want to spend time with. "No!" "You like people shouting and a angry" No. (Sounds like my mom and me and conversations about Richard Nixon-She knew him as Republican Committee Woman, "Richards not like that (crook, thief, liar) He's not that kind of man.." Can two people watch a film and come away with totally different ideas?!? (When she's gone I'll watch it 3 times if I want to!! Ha Ha) John

I'm watching it now. Network is a bitter, angry movie, she's right! Why am I laughing and enjoying it SO much?!? It's Christmas! I shouldn't be celebrating this for Heaven's sake! A madman on the news. Really?!? I cannot watch Sean Hannity and his lies for 10 minutes! ("Give me 5 million. What do you want me to say??") Howard Beale I could watch all night. ("I've run out of BS!") Brilliant. Brilliant. I don't know what Paddy Chafsky channeled, or how he did it, but he did it!!!

This has been going on for at least 40 years (a lot longer than that) Today Trump TRUMP As crazy as Beale: "Mexican's rapists and thieves", "No Muslims admitted to US." And people buy it!! Woman said to me, "He's one of us." Huh? I said 10 Billion and he one of us?!? Not like any person I know. Nixon, Reagan, the Bushes (41 & Jr.) Watergate, Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther King, can you see it?!? And my wife thinks Nerwork is Crazy!!! Ha Ha
