I liked this film I thought it was a good seventies Snowmonster movie, but it seemed like it was cut down at quite a few scenes, was it just made like that or is it cut?

Due to the fact that it was a made-for-TV movie, it wasn't allowed to be a gory film. So yes, it was made without any graphic gore scenes.

Sometimes they'll make a version for Europe , or Asia that is longer , and more explicit .

the problem is that this tv movie fell into public domain, therefore a number of companies have given it a release (most of them really shoddy transfers that even the worst homedeck dvd recorder could do a better job on). Most used to claim this film ran 96-97 mins. I have the Legacy (US) dvd that looks crappy and runs 85 mins. Despite the made for tv status, I could have sworn that the Legacy version was cut. I also have the film as part of one of the early brentwood (bci) film sets. I really think that version ran 92-95 mins. I also specifically seem to recall a scene showing a headless skier's body going down the slops. I know this scene was not in the Legacy 85 min dvd. However I will fish out the brentwood and verify if it is there.
Some older VHS review books give the film a 96 min runtime while the more recent book "television fright films of the 1970's gives the film an 86 min runtime
I will check that brentwood dd edition and let you know if it is the same as the Legacy or not. If the headless skier was not from this film, than I apologize for that
UPDATE: it must be my memory that is wrong. The brentwood runs 85 mins 30 secodns, the legacy runs 85 mins 29 seconds.
However if you are looking for a decent quality version of the film, look for this set: vault of horror 10 movies". This old brentwood set uses double sided dvds, however they only have one film per disc side, whereas many of these type of releases show two films on one single layer disc which drastically reduces the overall quality. The transfer (though with some mild grain) is actually good when compared to many of the other crap releases this film has had

There are slight variations between the DVD and a version I taped off TV years ago. Only a couple of shots though. Slight difference to the part where the snow beast attacks the ceremony (or whatever it was) in the hall.

about two years ago I made mention of getting a full 90 min version for the film. I finally had a chance to do a true side by side (I used the 86 min legacy dvd for my comparision against the 90 min worldvision vhs). And it does really have 4 extra mins most of all these dvd (and some vhs) versions are missing. I listed one of the scenes, so perhpas these are in the tv version you mentioned. I can verify the gym attack was much longer witth more shots like you recall it
