Toward the end of the episode “Hitchhikers” after the cops arrested Bill right before he raped Kimberly, Arnold tried to pull the pity card, “Maybe I shouldn’t go to school tomorrow.” Drummond sarcastically said, “We’ll talk about that on the way to school.” Even though Kimberly was the victim here, the rapist tied up Arnold’s wrists & ankles and duct taped his mouth shut, and Arnold obviously knew his sister was in danger. Thus, running for help after successfully escaping Bill’s apartment. Despite the fact that he was trying to weasel his way out of going to school, I’m sure he was still shook-up from this ordeal. I had nightmares about that episode, so imagine how Arnold feels in comparison to someone such as myself who wasn’t even a part of this.
