What exactly did Martin mean by this? And it what context was it said? I always found that statement to be poignant.
My dreams are a cruel joke. They taunt me and haunt me of a life I could of had.

He seems to state that he is unconvinced of anything supernatural, yet still maintains he's a vampire in his eighties….
