Did anyone else ever pick up on this line?

If you go to the movie on here, it starts at about 25:52…
Clark and Lois meet up with each other in the DP lobby where Lois asks him how his first day on the job was and he comes back calling it, "swell."
Then Lois comes back with how very few people are comfortable with that word meaning it is not used as much anymore.
This line shows how out of touch Clark/Supes is with the modern world after coming back into it after spending the last number of years in his Fortress of Solitude.
When he went there, "swell" was still a slang catch word.
When he comes out, it is not.
Am I the only observational epic genius to have picked up on this?

If that is what you got out of it I won't argue but I thought it showed how he was just a little out of touch with the world after coming back from his vacay to his fortress.
