To Shout! Factory:
I would like to suggest a Complete Series box set of Benson (1979-1986, 158 episodes, licensed from Sony).
All the episodes should be restored and remastered in high definition from the original film elements, and they should be unedited.
The original Columbia Pictures Television logos should be included at the end of the episodes.
Special features should be included, including audio commentaries with the cast and crew, text commentaries, documentaries with the cast, a Savings Bonds film with the cast ("Benson: The U.S. Goes To Market"), promos, bloopers, photo galleries, and more.
A segment of bloopers from the show that aired on "Life's Most Embarrassing Moments" with Rene' Auberjonois and Steve Allen should be included.
The "Benson/Sports Night" promo from the Sports Night 10th Anniversary Edition should be included.
The Christmas message from the cast at the end of the "Mary and Her Lambs" episode, the series recap from the last episode, and the three alternate endings for the last episode should be included.
English subtitles should be included.
A collector's book should come with the set, including pictures, an episode guide, a history of the show, and more.
Since you worked with Robert Guillaume on the Sports Night 10th Anniversary Edition, and since you are working with Sony for new things (like the "All in the Family" Complete Series box set and "Diff'rent Strokes"), can you make an agreement with Sony for this box set? -

Write to Shout! Factory. I did.
I believe Mill Creek currently owns the rights to Benson, but they're not doing anything with them, and Shout! Factory has 'rescued' other shows from that company and released 'Complete Series' sets.
It sure couldn't hurt:

What do you think about this idea:
I have been a fan of the Benson TV series since 2006, and I have been
working on a screenplay based on the show for some time.
The screenplay is titled Benson: A Family Reunion.
It includes all the main original characters, except for Marcy, whom I
decided not to include, since Caroline McWilliams died in February 2010.
(In the screenplay, Marcy has also died, in February 2010.) (The screenplay is dedicated to Caroline McWilliams, and it will include several homages/tributes to her and Marcy.)
Five new major characters, Rachel DuBois (Bensons daughter), Anne Downey (Pete and Denises daughter), Clayton Endicott IV (Claytons son), Kate Endicott (Clayton IVs wife), and Jenny Slater (Marcys daughter) join the original characters.
Rachel, Anne, Clayton IV, Kate, and Jenny are all fans of the original
characters, referring to them as a group of legends.
There is a scene where Rachel, Clayton IV, Kate, Anne, and Jenny find a
photo album with pictures from the series and additional pictures of the
cast.
There are (or will be) many homages to the show, flashbacks to classic
moments, and in-jokes.
One surprise cameo in the screenplay is an appearance by Jessica Tate from
Soap, who is introduced when Gene Gatling says to Benson, "You want me to
get that?" (after the doorbell rings), and Benson replies, "If you don't
mind."
Also, it includes the creators, Susan Harris, Paul Junger Witt, and Tony
Thomas, as a group of historians, who come to interview Benson, Gene
Gatling, and their friends.
