I don't get all the hate around Attack of the Clones As well, I though The Force Awakens was awesome, can't wait for Rogue One and VIII -

My opinion:
AOTC had three great scenes: Obi-Wan in the archives and Yoda and the young padawan, and the mystery of the missing system; everything on Kamino; and the asteroid field on the approach to Geonosis.
TFA had one great section: the quiet scenes on Jakku, especially the Graveyard of Giants.
ROTS had one great scene: Padme's Ruminations, with her and Anakin thinking of each other, miles apart, across the skyline of Coruscant, with no dialogue.
It had one great acting performace: Palpatine telling the tale of Dart Plagueis.
And it had one truly great moment, among the best in the franchise: the horror in Padme's "No!" as she sees Obi-Wan stepping out of the spaceship on Mustafar, and realizes that she is going to loose either a good friend, or her beloved.
TPM had outstanding sound effects, and a good duel at the end.
All the latest four films had great audio and visual effects. All had worse stories, worse characters, and particularly worse scripts than the original trilogy.

4.The Force Awakens- 8 Better Than Expected
5.Revenge Of The Sith- 8 It's The Best Of the Prequels
6.The Phantom Menace-7
7.Attack Of The Clones-7
It will be less than a month until Rogue One comes out, I believe it will be better than expected. How many are planning to see it?

I enjoy all of them, except attack of the clones. Attack is such an unenjoyable movie for me to watch, except with friends last I did on my last viewing of it and make fun of every aspect of it, then it's enjoyable.

The Phantom Menace **
My ratings might change over the years. But for now, Empire and A New Hope are classics that can be enjoyed again and again, much like fantasy films such as The Wizard of Oz and The Fellowship of the Ring. They are the high points (so far) of the saga and I am happy that at least two of these films are great.
I am warming up to The Force Awakens. It's not perfect by any means, but it certainly holds together better than most of the other films.
Return of the Jedi is a big let down. Not a terrible film by any means, but as a followup to the masterful The Empire Strikes Back, it simply pales in comparison. -

- New Hope (8/10): rousing, wonderful and compelling
- Return of the Jedi (6/10): poignant, fun and charming
- Revenge of the Sith (5/10): immersive, graceful and obsessive
- Phantom Menace (5/10): ambitious, considerate and drawn-out
- Attack of the Clones (4/10): languid, shy and conceited

I am obviously in the minority in thinking that A New Hope is the best of the series. It is the movie that started the entire franchise. It defined sci fi in it's era and changed everything that came after. The tone is set for the remainder of the series, and the worst of the series are the ones where they veered out of what defined the first movie. It is simply larger than the sum of it's parts.
