I don't believe a remake will ever happen- but then I usaually wrong when it comes to the movie industry, so here is my list:

Lets pray they dont remake this movie,not because its bad or anything.
But because we need some good original entertainment, not crappy cash cows and lame movies like transformers.

I would more like to see a story about a young(er) Dr Ruth developing Ephemerol,basically using his family as guinea pigs. A young, narcissistic Paul Ruth.having to live with his decisions. Sucking out his joys, rotting his successes. Watching his sons grow up. Darryl, angry and out of control. Cameron severely autistic. Finally abandoning his sons/family and burying himself in his research/work
