They pitied Rocky? That's a massive stretch. The man is clearly an beep and he even shoved the old guy in the face when he pleaded with him not to trash the place again.

I think another interesting question is what kind of guy Rocky was AFTER getting a beatdown from Superman. Do you think he changed in any way? Maybe a little nicer towards the ladies who came into the diner? A little more complimentary towards the food?
After he recovered from his injuries (shattered hand, fractured vertebrate, broken ribs, whiplash) Rocky went mad with the humiliation of what happened and became convinced the man who attacked him was superman. he obsessively tracked Clark down to the Daily Planet and watchzed his movements.. he kidnapped Lois and then when Superman came looking and found them he exposed him to kryptonite. He then beat him to a pulp with a kryptonite knuckle duster and stabbed him with a kryptonite dagger

I was hoping Lois really kicked his face in that scene when Rocky said that comment to the cook about the meat.

I don't know I watched this the other day and if you watch him after Lois turns away from him he just shrugs it off and turns away like he's done trying. Now seat stealing isn't right no but Clark did push him into a fight.

He was a typical middle age creep who thinks he could hit on all the ladies, he was a scum.

Rocky was an a hole, but that line to Clark ''you're seat's in their four eyes' was hilarious.

He's a jerk. Did he learn anything? Probably not. Most jerks don't, but it still made great justice putting him in his place.

Rocky was a big asshole blowhard bully. I love that Superman came back to give him a well deserved beatdown.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

If you want to get an impression of the actor who played Rocky he wrote a book named "Shrapnel Of The Soul And Redemption". It is a recent publication with a February 28, 2016 publication date attached to it.
