    It's not the one in the poster, the poster looks like a full size pump shotgun.
    In the movie, the standard issue to all the IO officers was a very small, sawed-off automatic shotgun (not a pump action).
    anyone know what brand/model of gun it was?

      Sotheby's auction house had the actual shotgun prop up for auction in 1993. According to their 1993 Film and Animation Art Auction Catalog, the item was described as a:
      Browning semi-automatic 12 gauge gun

            It's actually a Browning Twelvette..an auto loading shotgun that only holds two rounds. It was specially made for trap shooting clay pigeons. I think theveryone producers used it because it was unique in that the loading port was on the left side of the receiver instead of the bottommaking it less recognizable to audiences of the day (unless they were "gun guys")
