I'm watching it right now on TCM and it's absolutely dreadful. It's like a bad sitcom that never got passed the pilot. It feels like all these big stars looked at the script for the very first time FIVE minutes before they arrived on the set. Truly awful.

I agree. Blake Edwards seems like a dork, and made the film due to being a crybaby on how Hollywood treated poor him. That was his fault, not Hollywood. He has had so many bombs.

While "The Love Boat" may not be brilliant television, I find it extremely comforting. Sometimes inane and senseless happiness is just what the doctor ordered. I love the show.
