Is there an offical recording of the film version of this song? Also, who would own the soundtrack to this film? (God would I!) Admittingly there wasn't alot of score but I liked what I heard. Henry Mancini used Polly Wolly Doodle was a theme throughout but there is some really good original score here too if you listen closely.

The score written to SOB is a short one, but I'm really surprised at how good it is and how gifted Henry Mancini was. In the party Scene a beautiful melody played by an alto sax can be heard along with the string section opening the cue with fourth chords. The scene on which Richard Mulligan drives his car accidentally into the sea and the car chase too have wonderful music that can be heard throughout. Of course there is more music in the film and I think a movie like SOB diserves a sountrack score realease.

I'd really love to find a copy of Julie Andrews singing "Oh, Promise Me" from the funeral scene. Probably one of her best performances of a serious song.

The funeral scene was surprisingly touching, and Julie's rendition of "Oh Promise Me" was amazing. I'd also love to get the soundtrack to this film. I find "Polly Woody Doodle" both annoying and charming, and I just can't get that song out of my head.

            U P D A T E: I found a combined soundtrack that has music from 10, Skin Deep and S. O. B.
All four tracks are a different version of Polly Woddle Doodle. Two of which are unsued in the final film (as far as I can tell). The other two are the end credits and Julie's vocal of Polly Wolly Doodle, which of course are the main credits. I assume that the first two were recorded under Henry Mancini's supervision, but either way I like them.
            The titles are:
            Night Wind (Swear or Bare)
            Son Of A Bitch
            Standard Operational beep
            S. O. B. Song
Notice that the title are all S. O. B
I'll give the email address for anyone who wants to get a copy.

Just out of curiosity, what songs from "Skin Deep" are on that soundtrack? I love that film, but it seems to be the black sheep of Black Edwards' movies.

The tracks from Skin Deep are:
                Zach's Piano (My Romance)
                Have You Met Miss Jones?
The Most Beautiful Girl In The World
                Falling Out Of Love
Trailer Music (an interested but nice version of Peter Gunn)

                      It is a CD.
                      Email: soundtrackers@adelphia.net
Ask is the 10, Skin Deep, S. O. B. is still available.
His name is Gerry and he is my soundtrack supplier; I don't know where he get his stuff, but if there is a soundtrack to be had, he mostly likely can get it.
Please mention my email address (robertbrad@hotmail.com) when you inquire.

No reflection on Henry Mancini or the rest of the music in S.O.B., but, GAWWWWWD, by the end of that movie I was sick to death of Polly Wolly Doodle!
