Naming the Rambo movies

I found out that this one is the 1st Rambo in the series and I don't get why they didn't just call it Rambo I. Instead it's First Blood. Then, the 2nd one is Rambo: First Blood Part II, 3rd is Rambo III, which could have been First Blood Part III. And then they had to name the 4th one just 'Rambo'. I wonder what they'll call the 5th movie? Make it John Rambo? I say, why didn't they just name em in order #1-4, then it would be simple and perfect.

The first one was always intended to be called
First Blood
after the novel it was based upon. It was in non-English speaking foreign markets, where the idiom "first blood" has no real meaning, that it was changed to
Rambo
.
The sequel was originally to be called
First Blood II: The Mission
, but changed by Stallone to reflect the foreign market, where the first film had done much, much better. The 3rd was actually titled
Rambo: First Blood Part III
in some foreign countries.
Even the fourth film had a fake working title (according to imdb trivia) of
Rambo: First Blood Part IV
